Eugene RC Aeronauts

Well I tried to get started yesterday but spent most, no scratch that all of yesterday digging through boxes trying to find my glue's and epoxy and basic tools for assembly. I really got to get my plane room done so I can spread stuff back out in a big mess so I can find it lol. so after 12 hours of digging I managed to get the axles, spats and wheels on the gear and after that whole ordeal I found out the switches I got won't work so I got to get me 3 different ones.

Anyways im hoping today will go better and some progress should be made (MAYBE)

iGot all my servo bays uncovered and ready for servos, all the control horns ready for epoxy will be doing those shortly. I was going to stick the servos in but decided to wait because instead of running servo extensions, im just going to nip the end and solder wire to servo and have one continuous lead for a nice clean install to receiver.

So normally PRC planes never have came with firewall actually installed but hey this one did, sounds crazy I know but they shipped in a bag and you would have to bolt it in and epoxy everything up. The good thing about it was you could place the motor forward or back just the way you wanted it.

Now it's going to be about getting the right length standoffs and just bolt it in should be super easy.

Here's a couple pics of how they used to come. I will be looking forward to seeing my next kit on order to fully be sure this the way they come now or if it's just the lil planes that actually install them complete.

Good stuff

Did get my servos installed and tail portion assembled, ran the pull cables. Beings my switches wernt going to work on this little plane and I had to order different ones, I did that yesterday morning and they will be here today and ready to be installed so im going to make a receiver tray/bed for it to be placed and make one for my tank as well.

I bought the parts to build my own water bottle tank instead of purchasing one this time around we'll see how that goes shouldn't be to bad as long as there's no leaks

So today should be a busy day once I get up and moving around I will post more pics as I get a move on with all this stuff.

I'm looking forward to seeing that thing fly! Woo Hoo man. If the bootle tank works out I want one. It looks awesome in your planes.

The assembled tail section and a photo of inside the fuse where the tank goes as you can see there's not much meat in ther when velcroing the tank in, infact when they mounted it in there for shipping it broke one of the ribs under it which was a easy fix but made me realize I should lay some balsa down before i do the tank install.

So she will be ready for the upcoming weekend then, huh?
