Eugene RC Aeronauts

Well... the mud got me last Saturday! Perfect landing but then I found the mud and over she went. Damaged the ruder and canopy. Well so I stripped the mono and noticed several cracks and sheet breakage. Crap! Got out the old 30min epoxy and balsa sheets and went to town. I have some more work to do but got the thing straight and together. I post pics as the work progresses.

Oh no ouchy stupid mud , I noticed just now lol this whole building and project part of site is filled with yaks maybe I shuda went a different route on this small one hehe.

Hopefully you get that baby back together and flying again soon..

Dangit! Least its fixable. how bad was the canopy though, crack the plastic??

lol about the Yak's! I thought the same. Ill change that shortly though, I am working on my reactor biplane, and will post it soon.

The canopy has some really long cracks! I went ahead and epoxied it back together last night but it looks weird so I may have to paint over the clear plastic so it's not so noticeable.

Can you find a new canopy? Send me the info. on you Yak, Manufacture, Model Name, etc... and I will look for you.

It's a Magic Hand Yak-54 that was distributed by Troy Built Models. I haven't been able to find any parts for it period.
