June 22-23 Redmond High Desert Pattern Classic

July 6-7 Molalla Pattern Challenge, Molalla, Oregon

July 27-28 Potential new contest in Albany Or, http://www.thundervolts.net/

Aug 10-11 CanAm In Snohomish, Washington

Aug 31- Sept 1 Canby Dusters Pattern Woodburn, Oregon

Sept 14-15 Fun In The Sun Pattern Contest Richland, Washington.

Sept 28-29 Potential return of the Medford, Oregon Pattern Classic contest

We should be in them all. So long as the budget allows. :? That is, me, dad, Alan, Rex, .....

How about Albany, Alan. Any word back yet as to if they are locked in and confirmed yet?

My intent is to make them all. The Wenatchee and Idaho contests are about an 8 hour drive and are pretty close together, so I may have to eliminate one of those. The Albany contest has been confirmed but is brand new so the attenance may be down a little, guess we'll see. Not too sure about the Can Am contest either, the person that started that contest has passed away and the organization seems to have faltered.

Alan, you planning on doing the Medford Classic ??

I have been kicking the idea around of putting together something for classic myself. Maybe an LA-1 or Summit.. or somthing. I gota ys 61 longstroke rear sitting here practicly brand new that would scream after some new gaskets.

So you mean that the Snohomish (sp) guy died and no one is stepping out to continue the contest? that sucks, I liked that field. Its way the hell out in the middle of a corn field, north seattle. Just nothing around but some railroad tracks :D And the field owner tried real hard to catter food's and stuff all weekend. Nice place.

Let us know if you hear somthin.

Minor name confusion!!! The medford classic isn't actually classic pattern, that's just the name they gave it. I do plan to be there, but I'll be flying my modern model.
Snohomish was created and organized by John Foggelsong, he died shortly after the Creswell contest a year and a half ago. The person that organized the event last year did a good job of hosting it, I'm just not sure how vested he is in continuing the effort. I'm going forward with the assumption that it will be happening, guess we'll see.

Oh thats right.. John was just a great person to be around.. I suppose I am fortunate to have attended that last CanAm he held, then. The guy was nothing but smiles. I remember the concern we had when he was too sick to make that last 25th anual Creswell contest.

Anyways, that makes sence about medford! Glad you clarified that, because I had the ipression it was a classic pre-turnaround pattern event! Nice, I have not been to the medford field since I was nearly a teenager! Hope to make that one too, then!

Thanks Alan
