Hi Guys, recently I have had issues with people driving past the runway and moving the pallets blocking the road. I haven’t really felt it was a R/C Aeronauts issue. Sunday I actually caught someone down there and he informed me that he was shooting his new KELTEC. He then proceeded to tell me that he was on BLM Land. I assure you I addressed this entire situation and wasn’t nice about it. No BLM land out here. He then informed me that he flies airplanes out here. I asked if he was a member and he said he flies with a friend who is a member. That told me, No, he is not a member. I never got a name during my tirade at him. He quickly got out of there! Cars beyond the gravel in the mud makes me start twitching. 😬
In the summer no big deal. But not in the winter.
I think the bigger deal was the firearm without my permission. You all know I’m a gun nut. But I’m a shotgun guy as a rule. Shooting pistols and rifles is another story. The ground is so flat and there is no back drop and the bullets carry a longer ways. The new neighbor behind me has fenced in the pasture and has cattle to boot. Probably the complete lack of respect is what bothers me the most. I really don’t believe it’s a current member. I encourage you to take pictures of any vehicle that goes down there and send it to me. I will also be installing trail cameras down at the roads end.
I will be keeping an eye out for a newer silver Ford Crew Cab with plates 17076. I also encourage everyone to make sure you are flying with actual members.
